(Kuala Lumpur, Wednesday) : I welcome the move by the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan, that investigations started immediately after the police got hold of the affidavit of Abdul Razak Baginda which, when read out in Shah Alam High Court, on January 19th, set forth startling revelations.

There is no doubt that there should be an in-depth investigation into the contents of the affidavit. In his affidavit he asserted that he went to the Deputy Prime Minister’s office for an official matter on Oct 20th where he, coincidentally, met ASP Musa Safri.

As ASP Musa Safri was attached to the security unit for the Deputy Prime Minister, it is necessary to establish whether the Deputy Prime Minister was aware that Abdul Razak had sought the services of ASP Musa Safri in removing Altantuya from his house on Oct 17th last year and in so doing, ASP Musa Safri was acting in his personal capacity.
