Media Statement by Tan Kok Wai in Petaling Jaya on Friday, 21st November 2008: DAP forms standing committee for election preparation  DAP Central Executive Committee has formed a standing National Election Preparation Committee to plan and prepare for future elections. The Committee is set up in view of the possible snap election with the ascension of Dato Seri Najib Razak as the Prime Minister in March next year. Registering new voters nationewide will be one of the major tasks the Committee set out to achieve, with the participation of all state and parliamentary committees. The Committee will also assist DAP Sarawak in their preparation for the upcoming state elections. Apart from activating election machinary in traditional areas of DAP, the party will focus on building capacity in Northern Sarawak. The Committee is headed by National Vice Chairman Tan Kok Wai and comprises National Organising Secretary Teresa Kok, National Publicity Secretary Tony Pua, Political Education Director Loke Siew Fook and Assistant Political Education Director Jeff Ooi.
