Media Statement by Teo Nie Ching in Petaling Jaya on Thursday, 13th August 2009: A letter to Bintulu MP: Request for donation to the Teoh Beng Hock Trust Fund 13 August 2009 YANG BERHORMAT DATUK SERI TIONG KING SING YB Datuk Seri, REQUEST FOR DONATION TO THE TEOH BENG HOCK TRUST FUND Malaysians all over the country are mourning a significant loss with the tragic death of Teoh Beng Hock, a young and promising political aide in the Selangor State Government. We are heartbroken that his bright future and human potential has been abruptly terminated due to an ill-fated MACC investigation. We wish to do more for him. Apart from calling for justice to be restored, we want to do our part to safeguard the life and future of his only child, who inevitably, from the first day of his birth, will never experience the love, care and affection of his father. Thus, a trust fund has been set up specifically to look after the financial needs of the late Teoh’s unborn child. The funds raised shall be used for his living, medical, education and other needs. Please take note that this is the ONLY trust fund set up for the welfare of Teoh’s unborn child. The family has not given consent for the setting up of any other fund for this purpose. YB Datuk Seri, you are known for your generosity and philanthropic qualities. According to a news report in Malaysiakini, YB Datuk Seri regularly “donated millions” to various people. As the co-trustee of the Teoh Beng Hock Trust Fund, I would like to request for financial aid in the form of donations from you and/or your company. A donation of any amount is welcome, as you and/or your company are lightening the financial burden on Teoh’s wife and family, as well as indirectly giving back to the people and less fortunate at the same time. The details of the trust fund account are as follows:
It will be an honour to receive a donation from you and/or your company and your kind consideration is highly appreciated. As an assurance to YB Datuk Seri, an official receipt will be issued as proof of donation as soon as possible. Thank you, and may justice prevail. Yours sincerely,
TEO NIE CHING * Teo Nie Ching, DAP Assistant National Publicity Secretary & MP for Serdang; Co-Trustee of Teoh Beng Hock Trust Fund
