Media Statement by Loke Siew Fook in Petaling Jaya on Saturday, 16th May 2009: DAP National Leadership Retreat 2009 The DAP national leadership will be having a retreat in Kuala Lumpur over this weekend. It is a closed door meeting which involves all Members of Parliament and State Assemblypersons. Party Secretary General Lim Guan Eng will give the keynote address while DAP Parliamentary Leader Lim Kit Siang will present a paper on DAP’s roles in nation building. The purpose of the retreat is to chart the direction of the party, review the performance of DAP elected representatives and state governments, and discuss ways to strengthen the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. This retreat which was supposed to be held in early January was postponed two times due to the by-elections. We are confident that after attending this retreat, DAP leaders will work even harder to serve the people and strengthen the party with clear objectives and great determination. Parliamentary Opposition Leader Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will also be there to address the DAP leaders. * Loke Siew Fook, DAP Political Education Director & MP for Rasah
