Call on the Sibu people to be part of the change

As Mathama Gandhi said, you must be the change you wish to see in the world. DAP and Pakatan Rakyat call on the people of Sibu and Sarawak to be part of the change by joining the campaign as volunteers.

It goes without saying that the playing field has never been leveled and Barisan Nasional machinery has all the money in the world to spend in this by-election to keep the status quo to further the private interests of its leaders.

The Barisan Nasional is also in control of various political, administrative, and social institutions in Sibu and Sarawak to create an atmosphere of fear among the people.

We bring hope and our message is change. Sibu must take the lead to change Sarawak and Malaysia. And we know that the people of Sibu want change.

As the by-election enters its second half, the battle of century, as Sdr Lim Kit Siang calls it, needs help from the people of Sibu. Let’s do it together.

We call on the people of Sibu to do three things.

First, to call your friends and family members to ensure that they turn out to vote on polling day, especially for those who are not residing in Sibu;
