DAP Disciplinary Committee has today expelled Yap Hock Siew and suspended Ong Chai Huat for two years as members of the Party

The DAP Disciplinary Committee has today expelled Yap Hock Siew and suspended Ong Chai Huat for two years as members of the Party.

Both Yap and Ong were found to have committed direct conflict of interest which are in breach of Party discipline when the former issued a letter of support under the letterhead of Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung Negeri Selangor (Pandamaran) dated 17 June 2010 in favour of a business where both Yap and Ong are partners.

Yap and Ong were Chairman and Vice Chairman of the DAP Pasar Pandamaran Branch respectively when they committed the wrongs. They have 14 days from the date of disciplinary action to appeal in writing against the decision to the Party Central Executive Committee.
