Solidarity with the people of Norway

The Democratic Action Party extends its solidarity with the people of Norway who are faced with the worst human disaster in its history. Our deepest sympathies are with the families of the victims.

The bomb attack in Oslo and the massacre on Utoeya Island, which have together claimed 98 lives thus far, traumatise the world not only because of the tragic loss of innocent lives, but it is an attack on humanity and civilisation.

The DAP also extends its moral support for the Norwegian Labour Party in this trying time. Youth attending a camp organised by the ruling Norwegian Labour Party were massacred. The DAP and the Norwegian Labour Party are members of Socialist International, a grouping of Social Democratic parties.
