Media statement by Chan Foong Hin in Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday, 31st July 2012:

DAP Sabah welcomes Lajim and Bumburing aligned with Pakatan Rakyat to bring change to Sabah

DAP Sabah welcomes MP Beaufort Lajim Ukin and MP Tuaran Wilfred Bumburing to quit BN and to aligned with Pakatan Rakyat and bring political changes in Sabah.

The move by the duo has jolted UMNO and BN not only in Sabah but also at the National level. The political landscape in the state has been changing and now hastened with the move by the two MPs to quit the BN. Sabah may no longer be a 'fix-deposit' for Barisan Nasional.

This was proven by the response from UMNO supreme council on the issue, by asking a show- cause letter from Lajim Ukin, even though he has challenged the party to sack his membership openly.

Meanwhile, UPKO leadership remained silent on the issue after two days of Wilfred Bumburing's Angkatan Perubahan Sabah launching.

DAP Sabah supported the move by the two MPs and has sent its representatives, led by State Secretary Dr Edwin Bosi and State Publicity Secretary Chan Foong Hin, to attend the launching of 'Angkatan Perubahan Sabah' and 'Pakatan Perubahan Sabah' on Sunday 22 July 2012 in Tuaran and Beaufort respectively.

DAP Sabah supports the statement by PR defacto leader Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim that Pakatan Rakyat welcomes anyone or any party to join in coalition with Pakatan Rakyat in order to bring change to Sabah.
