Media statement by Edward Ewol Mujie in Kota Kinabalu on Monday, 28th May 2012:

Maximus and Salleh contradicting each other on 20-points

The two top BN leaders Maximus from PBS, and Salleh from UMNO are contradicting each other and this shows that there are serious differences in opinion arising from within the BN fold. The duo is trying to bring along a political mileage for themselves by harping on the topic of the 20-Point in the Malaysia Agreement. One said "no longer valid" and the other said "valid forever". Who is right and who is wrong? Are they qualified to make such statement to mislead, and bring the people of Sabah into further confusion?

I felt very disappointed with the two experienced politician from BN, and I regretted the type of attitude seen from the statement made by them over the issue of the 20-Points. In the real sense we don't mind that they use other issue to gain a political mileage for themselves, like performing their duties as the elected representative in their kampong, attend to pressing matters concerning the people, for the state and the country. The duo is using the particular issue to hit on the opposition instead of using their paid time to work for the people.

Salleh has look down on the intelligence of the younger generation by saying that they are being deeply influenced by the opposition, and he said that the youth is determined to see the down fall of the BN Government. This is reflected in the Cyber world, Internet website, twitter and face book. That is why BN is organizing their own "Cyber Troopers" to start the Cyber Warfare against the younger people who supported the PR voluntarily. The young people see, learn, observe, analyze, digest and decide what is best for their future. The most important thing is that they also look back at the history on what the BN government had done so far. Is it good for the young, or is it damaging their future? The young people will be obliged to have a go with the BN Cyber Troopers and may be these paid BN Cyber Troopers after learning more from the other young people online, they will change and point their gun towards BN one day. Do not take for granted the mentality of the young people, they can see and judge in situation like this, and also not easily being lured into supporting BN.

Maximus mentioned about the opposition only knows about damning and criticizing the federation and federal leaders, but say little about building the nation and making Malaysia better. The real fact is Maximus is forgetful that during the opposition PBS government, they did exactly that and more. The end result was, they brought Sabah into deep shit, and this also resulted in the entry of UMNO along with the other BN parties like MCA, MIC, Gerakan landed into Sabah. During that time, UMNO claimed that their entry into Sabah was to save Sabah in spite of the present of PBS. PBS was classified as not able to help the Sabahan, and needed help from UMNO. When PBS can not sustain the pressure, they rejoined BN, and thereon they talk differently or rather speaking for their "boss".

Maximus claimed that the BN is the champion for the 20-Points. The opposition only knows how to talk and play on sentiments and have no teeth to defend the rights of the Sabahan. He is wrong, because the Sabahan will not be easily misled this time, they know how to gauge the performance of the parties that they had voted into power, for example USNO, Berjaya, PBS, and the reversed take over by BN from PBS. BN created the "Great Hopping" event, and the PBS elected Reps left PBS to join BN, and allowed BN to control the Sabahan until now. This time no matter what the BN is trying to do, will not affect the decision of the people. They will not be fooled by the BN anymore, especially the younger generation. Now the older generation has moved to support the Pakatan Rakyat too, because they know the BN had failed to serve them. Therefore vote PR for CHANGE!
