Any Malaysian who truly loves Malaysia, must try in their own way to improve our electoral integrity, especially when the General Election is just around the corner

Today is the public hearing conducted by the Election Commission on the objections filed against the registration of 1,051 Kem Segamat voters for the 3rd Quarter Supplementary Electoral Roll 2017.

Military turned out in full force, with their spouse and kids. In buses.

Which made me wonder, if they really stay in Segamat, why do they need to come in buses? Some of them are even carrying luggages.

Our objections are rejected. Penalty was RM100/person, but later it was increased to RM150/person, which make no sense since their mode of transportation is completely the same.

EC is completely biased and unprofessional when handling this. They refused to give us the report of hearing, unless we pay the penalty on the spot. First they asked us to pay immediately, then they said we must pay before 4pm.

The fact is, they have no right to do so. They have no right to impose a deadline for payment, and they have no right to withhold the documents. They are not only giving special treatment to MinDef, but they are also abusing their power.

After my stern objection, and reference to law, they finally gave in.

To all the army personnels who were made travel to Segamat, I am truly sorry for all the inconvenience caused. It is nothing personal.

Malaysia ranked 142nd out of 158 countries in terms of electoral integrity. This is utterly shameful and disgraceful. Any Malaysian who truly loves Malaysia, must try in their own way to improve our electoral integrity, especially when the General Election is just around the corner.
