{"id":43184,"date":"2021-03-26T07:52:17","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T23:52:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/?p=43184"},"modified":"2021-03-26T07:52:17","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T23:52:17","slug":"theatre-impian-kit-siang-art-gallery-welcomes-visitors-this-31-march-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/theatre-impian-kit-siang-art-gallery-welcomes-visitors-this-31-march-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Theatre Impian: Kit Siang Art Gallery welcomes visitors starting 31 March 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/935FD35E-FF73-4F4B-9485-E7EDADF9261A-1024x539.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20252\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Reading the countless literature on Democratic Action Party (DAP) veteran, Lim Kit Siang may not be enough to appreciate and comprehend the life, struggles and aspirations of one of the most well-known political figures in Malaysian history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting this 31 March 2021, an art museum celebrating Kit Siang\u2019s life journey, dreams and sacrifice will be open to the public as the iconic Malaysian turned 80 years old this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/284B0E71-67B6-4CCB-B953-2DE78618131A-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20242\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<p>The gallery, aptly named Theatre Impian at Bukit Jalil will be home to 100 beautiful and thought-provoking paintings, calligraph, sculptures and mor<em>e<\/em> inspired by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Iskandar Puteri. 80 renown local artists have been commissioned to contribute their artworks towards the collection in this gallery, which depicts various aspects of Kit Siang\u2019s life throughout his journey in our nation\u2019s political scene for over 55 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/C06284BC-7B92-4F51-B1BE-8AA833DB2590-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20243\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/15BDC71E-6981-4F77-BEFE-4FAD4554CF8F-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20244\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dapmalaysia.org\/en\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/B92D09FD-4E85-429F-A014-D04BB7A74380-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20245\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<p>Stepping inside the gallery, visitors will be transported into fragments of the Iskandar Puteri MP\u2019s life; the close-knit family in which he drew strength and inspiration, the democratic ambitions he firmly believe in for our beloved nation, the cells in which he were detained for standing up for his fellow Malaysians, the friends, allies and political coalitions he was a part of, the injustice he bravely persevere through, the shining light that was Pakatan Harapan\u2019s victory, the dark hour that was \u2018Sheraton Move\u2019 and many more.
