The breakdown of seats is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Action Party (DAP) won 40 seats, Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) won 31 seats, Amanah won another 8 followed by the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) who won 2 seats and Muda who won one seat.<\/p>\n<p>However, the coalition did not secure enough seats to form a government and will need to work with other parties to reach a simple majority.<\/p>\n<p>GE15 marks the first time an election has ended in a hung Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakatan Harapan has won the most number of seats in the 15th General Election (GE15) in comparison to Perikatan Nasional and Barisan Nasional.
