Today, we\u2019re here with an incredibly heavy heart to commemorate the spirit of the late Saudara Teoh Beng Hock. This is the 15th memorial for Beng Hock, and each commemoration is a call for justice and a pursuit of the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To this day, the injustice Teoh Beng Hock endured has not been redressed, and 15 years have passed like flowing water, yet his suffering still hangs heavy in our hearts, unresolved. We will not forget Beng Hock\u2019s innocence, we are more determined than ever <\/a>to pursue the truth and justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 1st, the Prime Minister will meet with Beng Hock\u2019s family. The people of Malaysia are looking forward to the Prime Minister taking positive action and delivering uplifting news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need to remind the Prime Minister that on September 5, 2014, the Court of Appeal, with all 3 judges in agreement, ruled that Beng Hock died as a result of actions by unknown individuals, which were caused or facilitated by MACC officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MACC bears criminal responsibility, and the police must also reinvestigate this case of cold-blooded murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trial results prove that Beng Hock was indeed innocently killed. The government should have initiated a review process back then to correct the mistake. Let Beng Hock’s grievances be redressed and to bring the murderers to justice so that the culprits receive the punishment they deserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister must take the Teoh Beng Hock’s case very seriously to restore and build public trust in the judicial system, and to maintain social harmony and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister should publicly acknowledge the injustice of Teoh Beng Hock\u2019s case, agree with the Court of Appeal\u2019s ruling, and to express his and government\u2019s deep sympathy and support for Beng Hock\u2019s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister should firmly state the government\u2019s commitment to judicial fairness and zero tolerance for abuse of power, and pledge to conduct a comprehensive review of Beng Hock\u2019s case, ensuring the investigation is free from external interference and that the truth is thoroughly and impartially uncovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
