Siti Mastura Muhammad to refrain from following in the footsteps of Perak PAS Commissioner Razman Zakaria in becoming a &#8220;serial slanderer.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Razman, who is also the Gunung Semanggol State Assemblyman, has a record of losing three defamation suits previously to former Perak Chief Minister Nizar Jamaluddin, DAP National Chairperson Lim Guan Eng, and Prime Minister Dato\u2019 Seri Anwar Ibrahim. As recent as 4 December 2024, he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com.my\/news\/nation\/2024\/12\/04\/razman-zakaria-referred-to-rights-and-privilege-committee-for-alleged-incitement-and-slander\">referred to<\/a> the Perak State Assembly&#8217;s Rights and Privilege Committee over alleged slander and racially charged remarks during Monday\u2019s debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid the same fate, I advise Dr. Mastura to continue practicing what she recently said, which is to carefully verify facts before speaking. While commenting on the court&#8217;s decision to pay RM750,000 to three DAP leaders, she stated that she would &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.malaysiakini.com\/news\/728066\">study the full judgment first<\/a> before making any decisions&#8221;. For context, Dr. Mastura was ordered to pay RM300,000 to Lim Kit Siang, RM250,000 to Lim Guan Eng, and RM200,000 to Teresa Kok after losing a defamation lawsuit filed against her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a young leader who is also heading the PAS Muslimat <em>Lajnah Perpaduan Nasional <\/em>(National Unity Bureau), Dr. Mastura should set an example for the public by leading efforts to combat fake news, rather than being an enabler for spreading slander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Raja Ahmad Iskandar Fareez<\/strong><br \/><strong>National Vice Chief of DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I urge Kepala Batas Member of Parliament (MP) Dr..
