I condemn in the strongest possible terms the racist and inflammatory remarks made by a PAS leader following the appointment of Malaysia\u2019s first Chinese Lieutenant General. This proud moment for our armed forces\u2014earned through merit, discipline, and national service\u2014has been twisted by PAS into a platform for hatred and division.<\/p>\n
This is not just political recklessness\u2014it is dangerous, race-baiting extremism.<\/p>\n
Let it be known: PAS and Perikatan Nasional (PN) are actively fanning racism and exploiting our diversity for their own gain. They do not speak for the people. They speak only for their shrinking echo chamber of bigotry.<\/p>\n
I now challenge PAS and PN directly:
\nDo you support this racist statement, or will you disown it?
\nIf you have any credibility left, condemn it publicly. Show Malaysians that you still have a shred of decency. But we already know the answer\u2014you won\u2019t. Because your political survival depends on sowing fear and mistrust. You hide behind religion and race while others do the real work of nation-building.<\/p>\n
Your cowardice is deafening.<\/p>\n
At the same time, I urge the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to take immediate and firm action against this kind of extremist rhetoric. Such statements are not only morally reprehensible\u2014they violate our laws on incitement and public disorder. We cannot allow any individual or party, regardless of position, to stir hatred under the guise of political expression.<\/p>\n
Malaysia is better than this. Malaysians are better than this.<\/p>\n
