Appointment of new political secretary to the Secretary-General 

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Zairil Khir Johari as my Political Secretary in my capacity as DAP Secretary-General. The appointment will take place with immediate effect.

Zairil will henceforth be assisting me with political matters at party and national level. He will be based at the DAP Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur.

Zairil possesses a diversified background, graduating with a Master of Arts in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He also has a degree in Information Systems Engineering and was an entrepreneur in the chocolate industry, where he introduced the first full-coloured chocolate printing technology in Malaysia.

I am confident that with his ability and experience in various fields, he will be a positive asset to our party and will contribute greatly to our struggle to realise a prosperous, equitable and just Malaysia for all Malaysians.
