Phantom voters in Klang

The voter roll in Klang appears to be tainted with phantom voters.

Over 500 new voters have been registered in Kampung Idaman, Pandamaran Jaya and Telok Gong. Many of these voters have been transferred in from as far as Melaka, Perak and Sabah.

We have identified the following trends

  1. Multiple voters in same address;
  2. Houses are so small and unable to accommodate that many people that have been registered as voters;
  3. Some houses/roads appear to be non-existent.

Some examples are-

  • 27 people registered in 26, Jalan 5, Kampung Idaman;
  • 26 people registered in 21, Jalan 8A;
  • 25 people registered in 6, Jalan 1;
  • No 28, Jalan 79 has 10 voters registered in a span of 6 months;
  • There does not appear to be a No 26, Jalan 6 (where all the houses are odd-numbered);
  • There does not appear to be a Jalan 8 in Pandamaran Jaya;
  • These houses appear to be concentrated around DUN Pelabuhan Klang which has now become a marginal seat after the redelineation.

Last elections, we highlighted the case of 994, Jalan Papan with 34 Indian and Malay voters in a Chinese home, and this has not been rectified till now.

On top and above this, there are 495 voters whose IC numbers are in the Sabah Project IC Royal Commission of Inquiry list, who are also in the Klang voter roll.

These are just some examples of suspected manipulation and cheating in the voter roll in Klang. The SPR must bear full responsibility over this. I call upon the people of Klang to come out in full force and vote to overcome these unfair tactics employed by SPR.
