DAP condemns the horrific attacks on mosques in Christchurch which has caused a great loss of lives, and leaving many others injured. It is not only a crime against the Muslim community in Christchurch, but also against all of humanity.
No religion condones violence against innocent people, and what has happened runs contrary to all religious teachings.
DAP hopes that the victims’ families and the community in Christchurch can continue to bear this tragic crime with resilience, patience and a sense of compassion to the victims.
We pray for their wellbeing and safety, and hope that those affected can quickly recover.
DAP also believes that the New Zealand government is doing everything it can to not only get the situation under control but also apprehend the culprits responsible for these horrific shootings, and that justice can be done against these perpetrators of such crimes against humanity.
DAP also prays that the Malaysians wounded in the shooting are safe and will quickly recover. And our prayers are also with all Malaysians caught in the shootings, as well as those in Christchurch.
