I have lodged a Police Report No. SG Senam/2837/17 against the statement made by PAS President, Datuk Seri Hadi Awang, accusing DAP for “inviting” US and other nations to interfere into Malaysia politics.
The statement made by Hadi Awang is a total lie and blatant falsehood.
The DAP commits to our struggle for the principle of freedom, justice and solidarity for all Malaysians. No sound mind Malaysians except the UMNO leaders or propagandists will deny this.
We were in the same political coalition with PAS from 2008-2015. The PAS that we knew then was sharp and vocal against the wrong and corrupt administration of BN and which was also committed to the course and common policy framework of Pakatan Rakyat.
We have seen a different PAS after its getting closer to UMNO since 2015. The fact that Hadi Awang had only mentioned about the mother of all scandals 1MDB in Parliament only once, and even offered himself as the “Advisor to UMNO” had said it all.
However, none will ever expect Hadi Awang, being a senior politician and so-called religious leader, to go so low and revert to absolute lies and falsehood, just for its own political agenda of saving Najib.
There is a Chinese proverb 近朱者赤近墨者黑，which means “to one who stays near vermilion gets stained red, and one who stays near ink gets stained black”. Hadi is not only learning fast from UMNO, but also catching up on the level of dirty politicking by UMNO.
Clearly, Hadi Awang has now become the agent of UMNO – to demonise DAP not only of anti-Malay, anti-Islam but now even of anti-National, by lies, baseless accusation and falsehood.
DAPSY will make further police reports in various states tomorrow and the police is duty bound to commence necessary investigation against Hadi.
