DAP Selangor reshuffle - DAP Central Executive Committee's Decisions Press Statement by Kerk Kim Hock (Petaling Jaya, Thursday): With regard to the Selangor State Committee's decision on 26/2/2003 on the positions of the state office bearers, the DAP Central Executive Committee yesterday decided that the reshuffle from State Deputy Chairman onwards was not in accordance with the rules and was therefore of no effect. Hence, the previous positions shall remain. The CEC decision does not affect the post of the new State Chairman elected at the State Committee meeting. Following the casual vacancy created by the untimely demise of Sdr Ahmad Nor, the DAP CEC elected Sdr Zulkifli Md Noor as one of the party's national vice- chairman. Johore State Chairman, Sdr Ahmad Ton was co-opted as a member of the CEC and subsequently elected to fill the post of deputy secretary general vacated by Sdr Zulkifli Md Noor.
