(Petaling Jaya, Saturday) :  Every year without fail, the foundation will organise a mass prayer at the tomb of Lim Lian Geok,the great defender of Chinese education to pay respect. This year, the ceremony will begin at 8am (at the Fujian Cemetery at Jalan Sg Besi). There will be road signs to lead you there.

Lim Lian Geok was the chairman of Jiao Zong, the umbrella body of Chinese school teachers in the country. he had sacrificed and contributed a great deal in fighting for the rights to mother-tongue education. Lim's citizenship was stripped by the Umno-led Government at the instigation of MCA leaders like Leong Yew Koh.

To mark our respect to the late Lim Lian Goek, DAP has been sending a delegation to the annual mass prayers without fail. Not a single representaives were sent by MCA for this prayers in the past. I will be there before joining the mass protest at Grand Saga toll gate at 10am tomorrow.

MCA should apologise to the family of Lim Lian Geok unconditionally. They should also petition the Government to reinstate the citizenship to the late Lim Lian Geok.
