(Petaling Jaya, Monday) : Every year, 15^th January is a meaningful and joyful festival for Hindus not only in Selangor but also Hindus all around the world.

Traditionally, Hindu families will celebrate the event with the cooking of sweet rice mixed with cow's milk in pots.

It is actually a Harvesting Festival for the Hindus and it marks the end of winter and beginning of spring.

On behalf of DAP Selangor, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all Hindus in Selangor a Happy Ponggol Festival.

The Ponggol Festival this year will also mark a new era for Selangor DAP with the new line-up.

With the latest line-up, we believe that Selangor DAP will be able to serve the rakyat and the party better.
