DAP Sarawak has to date launched 2 songs for our upcoming election campaign.

Then we launched the second song, “Tak Nak BN” on 31 March 2016 in conjunction with the first anniversary of the Goods & Services Tax implementation. The music video which has reached more than 45,000 views is available here: https://youtu.be/7pZ6ZUoRFzs
Today we will be launching 5 more songs to complete our DAP Sarawak election campaign album. The songs are ‘Bangkitlah’, ‘Jiwa Pewira’, ‘Belia Orang Asal’, ‘Bila Kita Bernyanyi’ and ‘Bayu Kenyalang’.

All of these are original songs penned and performed by native Sabahans and Sarawakians, dedicated to the people of East Malaysia, except for ‘Belia Orang Asal’ which is a cover version of an existing popular local song composed by Jaring Orang Asal SeMalaysia.
The campaign songs album, a first for DAP, will be our ‘gift’ to Sarawakians in the upcoming election. They will be shared via Youtube, social media, performed at our events as well as distributed via DVDs in our campaign trail.
While DAP will not and cannot afford to splash hundreds of millions of ringgit to ‘buy’ votes like Barisan Nasional during elections, especially in the rural areas, we will seek to win the hearts and minds of the rakyat with our campaign messages encapsulated in beautiful songs.
At the same time, we hope to share our fight for equality and social justice for the marginalised East Malaysians with the rest of the country to create greater awareness, empathy and promote a sense of brotherhood.
The Battle of Sarawak is the Battle for Malaysia. We call on all Malaysians to play a part in the Sarawak elections because your future is at stake.
