In an overnight act of vandalism, 10 election campaign billboards erected by DAP Sekinchan in the town centre were ripped to shreds and some were splashed with paint.
It is an act of vandalism on the billboards which contained messages pertaining to GST and the RM4.2 billion scandal.
Together with Selangor DAP chairman Tony Pua and Balakong assemblyman Eddie Ng Tien Chee, we expressed our shock and disgust while taking members of the media for a tour of the damaged billboards this morning.
There were two different teams carrying out these irresponsible activities, as it seemed to be a coordinated and ‘efficient’ operation, as all the billboards were still untouched at 2 o’clock this morning.
All those responsible to stop such despicable acts in line with the principle of clean and fair elections, citing similar incidents during my own campaign in the 2013 general election.
I had an idea who was responsible but did not name any parties, and urged the police and the Election Commission to be impartial and investigate all such incidents and take action against those responsible.
