PAS is not even lost (sesat) in its struggle. It has also lost its ability to differentiate the right and wrong, making the wrong friend in UMNO who is the main enemy of the nation building.
PAS Youth Vice Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari may have argued that the recently-concluded PAS muktamar had never stated their support for UMNO or BN, but the fact that its President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang had openly declared rejecting any move in allowing DAP to win GE14 had said it all.
Hadi Awang had said in the muktamar that Pas will reject any move to bring down the current government just to allow a purportedly DAP-led coalition to take over Putrajaya.
PAS and Hadi Awang had been with DAP in Pakatan Rakyat for 7 years since 2008. Hadi knows fully well consensus and mutual respect are the main working mechanism of the then Pakatan Rakyat. PAS was once the victim of the lies of UMNO, where UMNO had relentlessly tried to paint the picture in the eyes of Malays and Muslim that the DAP is anti-Malay and anti-Islam and is the sole dominance Party in the coalition.
Why is PAS and Hadi Awang now taking the old path of UMNO, creating hatred and scare amongst the Malays and Muslim, against DAP and Pakatan Harapan as a whole?
The answer can only be one: PAS is trying to rescue UMNO from its scandal-hit governance, by claiming itself to be the third choice apart from PH and BN in the next election, and play the spoiler role in splitting the votes of the opposition.
PAS Muktamar had never got a larger coverage in UMNO-control main stream media TV3 than this round as it suited fully well into UMNO’s propaganda in demonising DAP as anti-Malay and anti-Islam. PAS has done it well for UMNO, but this may also mark the start of the end of PAS legacy in the politics of Malaysia, getting wiped out by the voters in the next general election for failing to identify who is the actual enemy that is destroying the nation with the mother of all scandals 1MDB.
Hadi is positioning PAS towards retaining UMNO in power at the expenses of the 60-long-years history of the party. Ahmad Fadhli Shaari should instead, together with its approximately 1 million PAS ordinary members, focus on saving PAS from continue to get rot and sink together with UMNO.
