Chief Minister of Penang away to Hong Kong & Taiwan

Penang Chief Minister YAB Lim Guan Eng will be leading an investment mission to Hong Kong & Taiwan on 20th-23th Jan 2015 is to strengthen the existing ties established in business relationships with investors in both Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Besides the presentation from investPenang on the investment opportunities in Penang and the RM 27 billion Penang Public Transport Master Plan by the Chief Minister and Penang State EXCO member YB Chow Kon Yeow respectively, both will also attend the Asian Financial Forum Keynote Luncheon Talk by Professor Paul Krugman.

The Penang state government is committed towards securing a safe and orderly Penang free from serious crime. As such, initiatives are undertaken to venture into cloud computing and Big Data Analytics (BDA) to utilize their potential to fight crime, especially coordinating the 700 CCTVs to be installed throughout the state. The state delegation will also visit the New Taipei City Police Department to establish a good partnership and cross-sharing of security system and social peace mechanism. The state delegation will also meet the Mayor of New Taipei City Council and new Chairman of Kuomintang Mr Eric Chu Li-Luan.

YAB Chief Minister’s delegation consist of the Chief Minister’s wife Madam Betty Chew, YB Chow Kon Yeow, SAC Mohd. Nasir Bin Salleh (Officer Chief Criminal Investigation & Community Security), ACP Mior Faridalatrash, ASP Chien Chunng Tsaur, YB Jeff Ooi & YB Tanasekharan ( Board of Directors of Invest Penang), Dato Lee Kah Choon (Special Advisor to Chief Minister), Ir Lim Thean Heng ( Chief Engineer, Transport Master Plan Implementation), Ms Lim Chiew Boey ( Special Investment Officer to Chief Minister), Ms Loo Lee Lian(GM of Invest Penang) and her staffs.
