DAP condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly series of bombings targeted at churches, and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday

DAP condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly series of bombings targeted at churches, and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, 22 April 2019. The bombings that have caused the loss of 207 innocent lives, and injured 450 others is a despicable and barbaric attack that is an affront to humanity, particularly when the victims were practicing their religious freedom and rituals on a holy occasion that is Easter Sunday.

We are confident that the Sri Lankan government will take every action to arrest and punish the remaining perpetrators of this heinous attack.

DAP extends our deepest sympathies, support and solidarity, as well as condolences to the people of Sri Lanka, including to the nation’s Christian community. Sunday’s atrocities bring great sadness to the Malaysian people, and we pray that Sri Lanka and her people will be able to quickly recover.
