Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has started the usual bogeyman games at the Wanita UMNO Assembly.
“There is no other party. Do you want to surrender the Malays and bumiputera to DAP? I am not prepared (to do so).
“Let blood flow, we won’t allow DAP to take over. UMNO is weak, god forbid, our country is taken over by DAP,” she said in her winding-up speech at the Wanita Umno assembly yesterday as reported by Malaysiakini.
It is not a new tactic for UMNO to paint DAP as bogeyman whenever UMNO or the nation is facing internal crisis. Blame shifting is always the easiest way to divert attention.
Let me reiterate, DAP has no intention control the Malays like how UMNO control them, just like we don’t want anyone, especially woman, to be controlled like how UMNO is being controlled by Najib’s money.
Look at how the UMNO Assembly was conducted this year. UMNO dare not even broadcast the debates that followed the UMNO wing leaders’ policy speeches on screens around the Putra World Trade Centre to its own members who are not official delegates to observe the proceedings.
After Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil ended her speech, which was broadcast live, the screens played a recording of Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s opening address from last year’s general assembly! Even UMNO members were not happy with such arrangement as reported by Malaysian Insider![1]
Not only that, UMNO deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin has become almost invisible in the Assembly, no officiating speech, no poster, the number 2 man in UMNO was not even allowed to speak at the annual general assembly! Just because he does not sing the tune of Najib?
It is evident that UMNO is now wholly owned by Najib, a party that is held ransom by Najib because of 1MDB and RM2.6 billion donation mega scandals.
