In solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of flood victims in the East Coast and other affected states, DAP Malaysia launches a “Flood Relief Fund” to collect donations from the Malaysian public to be channeled to the most affected areas. This year’s flood was one of the worst in our nation history.
To kickstart the campaign, the DAP central leadership has decided to allocate RM10,000 (Ten Thousand Ringgit) for this fund.
All DAP elected representatives nationwide have been directed to launch donation drives starting this weekend in their respective constituencies.
All donations collected will be deposited into a special account: “Tabung Dana Kecemasan” (Ambank 8881002244649). Those who wish to make online donations can do so through this account as well.
All monies collected through this fund will be channeled to the most affected areas according to needs in the next few weeks.
Besides that, a truck loaded with a container of mineral water and bread will be deployed to Gua Musang and Kuala Krai on Monday, 29th December 2014 to be distributed to the victims. I will personally lead the mission to Kelantan.
Continuous efforts are under way to get more containers of mineral water and food items to be deployed to the affected areas especially in Kelantan.
The DAP leadership urges all Malaysians to come forward to give a helping hand to our fellow Malaysians who are affected by the flood by donating generously to this “Flood Relief Fund”.
