I refer to the news report where Datuk Ng Peng Hay, Chairman of KOJADI, had announced his resignation from MCA. DAP wishes to applaud his intention to cause KOJADI to return the RM15 million which was received from Yayasan IMDB. DAP also wish to assure Datuk Ng Peng Hay that DAP will provide all the necessary legal assistance to facilitate the return of the RM15 million which are monies rightfully belonging to the rakyat.
I also deeply regret to note the MCA President Datuk Wee Ka Siong’s interference in this matter of returning the money to Yayasan 1MDB. Instead of assisting to expedite the process, he chosed to interfere in the matter. He should allow KOJADI to do the right thing, i.e. to return the people’s monies without any delay whatsover. Furthermore, KOJADI is a co-operative society and should adhere to the highest standards of integrity and transparency. There is no need for any delay to do the right thing.
