DAPSY calls MCA youth’s bluff; No ministerial resignations from MCA means support for NSC bill

Whilst MCA Youth chief fired a knee jerk response after being critiqued by DAPSY, in defense of his and his party’s indefensible position of still being in league with UMNO, MCA once again shows their desperation in remaining relevant.

Clutching at straws, the unelected deputy minister for education appointed by MCA, used a worse-than-half-baked argument that the position of MCA on the anti-democratic National Security Council (NSC) Bill is not for him to express as he is now a deputy minister.

MCA Youth legal bureau’s describing of the passage of the NSC Bill as akin to creating a dictatorship is a welcomed call, yet it is shamefully ignored and silently shunned by the entire MCA. Typical of MCA leaders, the likes of Chong Sin Woon employed the game of evasion when questioned on his and his party’s stand on the bill that will become the instrument of dictatorship for the Prime Minister.

It is thus only fair for DAPSY to conclude that MCA Youth serves little purpose other than to be used to put up disingenuous shows of defiance like thus; a mere token and meaningless gesture of opposition towards the bill.

Chong, like other MCA leaders in government, without saying a word have actually spoken loud and clear in expressing their stand on the NSC bill; they have done so by their absolute inaction. It is clear that all of MCA’s members of Parliament as well as appointed persons in the executive arm are absolutely clear in their support of the despotic bill, as to date, we have not seen a single resignation from MCA from government positions.

If MCA as a party was truly in objection of the bill, its central leadership should have and would have left BN in protest of the tabling, let alone passage of the bill. If MCA ministers and deputy ministers were against the bill, they should have and would have resigned their cabinet positions in protest like anyone of honour in any Westminsterial parliamentary system. Sadly we have seen neither of the above.

It is simply too obvious that MCA dares not go against the orders of their UMNO masters; and are in full support of the treacherous bill. This shows the very reason why MCA is no longer of any relevance or importance in Malaysian society. No amount of low level proxy critiques can salvage support that MCA continues to lose, precisely because of their cowardly subservience to UMNO.

DAPSY Perak calls on MCA Youth Chief to resign as the youth wing he leads has been relegated to being a token barking dog that barks lies to protect its masters’ master.

DAPSY Perak challenges all 10 MCA Senators, 3 Ministers and 4 deputy ministers to show their sincerity by coming out in clear objection of NSC Act by resigning their positions in the cabinet as well as the senate.

DAPSY PERAK invites MCA Youth to join DAPSY in the above call for resignation to preserve what little honour and integrity MCA may have left and to prove that they are more than just toothless tokens.
