DAPSY Malaysia hereby express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims in Nepal for the loss of lives, young and the not so young, as well as the unimaginable devastation as a result of the massive earthquake.
Nepal, a large contributor of a large number of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers, across a vast spectrum of industries to Malaysia, is a vital partner and friend of Malaysia. Nepal and her people has played a vital role in our nation building process, and the Nepalese people in Malaysia has and will continue to integratively prosper in Malaysia society. It is our responsibility to give them support and assistance in the name of humanity, friendship and solidarity.
We are in conversation with Nepal Student Union via Comrade Manjeet Tamrakar, a member organization of IUSY, to identify the most urgently needed by ways of aid, and ascertain the most suitable organization to channel aid and assistance.
Let us all take steps together in solidarity with our fellow men, women and children of Nepal, and help them stay strong in the wake of this catastrophic disaster. DAPSY will continue to monitor the situation closely and maintain high levels of communications with our comrades in Nepal.
