The outrageous comments by caretaker MB of Pahang, Adnan Yaakob, that liken “changing government is not as simple as changing one’s car or wife” are derogatory and insulting. Every woman has the right to feel molested by such crude, misogynic slime that come out of his mouth.
I urge the Barisan Nasional leaders, particularly the women leaders and women candidates, to openly refute and condemn such remark which is so disrespectful of women.
I wish to remind Adnan Yaakob that general election is a democratic process for the citizens or the voters to choose the candidates or the political parties of their choice to be the next government.
Women make up half of the voter population. If Adnan Yaakob and UMNO that he represents wish to get the support from the women voters, he should show his respect to women.
I demand Adnan Yaakob retract, apologise and show remorse over his obscene remarks.
