Deputy Chief Minister Dato Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan should completes the report of Technical Committee of RCI on illegal migrant in Sabah as soon as possible since it is already passed its deadline at last year

Deputy Chief Minister Dato Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan should completes the report of Technical Committee of RCI on illegal migrant in Sabah as soon as possible since it is already passed its deadline at last year.

Joseph Pairin has been appointed as the Chairman of Technical Committee since early of 2015, right after the release of the RCI report, he also promised that the report of Technical Committee would come out by the end of 2015. Unfortunately, he failed to fulfill his promise when nothing comes out by the deadline. And now, he demands to extend the deadline until this year without giving an exact date.

The hearing of RCI on illegal migrant in Sabah was started since early of 2013, it has been three years now, but we do not see our BN government has taken any action or solution. Is any problem preventing the process from going forward? Please do let the people know.

What we really need is an executive committee to implement the proposals in the RCI report. And now the delay of Technical Committee to accomplish their mission has definitely proved that this is only a tactic to delay and our government has no will to solve the issue of illegal migrant according to the proposal of RCI report.

When will the implementation of Sabah IC as the government has suggested be started? As Pairin said that he has no power to dissolve the Technical Committee then he should exercise his authority and power as the Chairman to carry out his task. If Pairin fails to fulfil his promise again, will he take the blame and resign?

The people of Sabah has give too much time to Pairin and BN government on this matter, both Pairin and BN government should provide an honest answer whether they will take the first step to solve the problem of illegal migrant in Sabah.

If Pairin willing to accept any suggestion from the public or third party as he told the media, then he should open the door to all political parties, NGOs and civil society, sit down together and held open discussion to show that he is sincere in this matter.
