MCA, Gerakan and MIC should pull out of Selangor BN to prove their sincerity that they do not want to be associated with a crazy leader like Selangor UMNO Chairman Datuk Noh Omar who wants Guneswari, a parent of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Pristana in Sungai Buloh, investigated under the Sedition Act 1948. There is no force of conviction in MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek words calling Noh Omar as crazy for wanting Guneswari to be investigated under the Sedition Act for exposing the makeshift canteen in shower room fiasco, when MCA still works hand in hand with UMNO in Selangor?
As long as MCA, Gerakan and MIC still work together with UMNO in Selangor BN under Noh Omar as Chairman, criticisms against Noh Omar for being crazy will be seen as another stage drama or wayang kulit that will be quickly forgotten in a week. This only highlights the fact that BN component parties have nothing in common as they are basically mono-ethnic racist parties. However mono-ethnic racist political parties that exclude other races, can still work together in BN because they adopt a common objective of condoning corruption, abuse of power and crony capitalism.
For this reason MCA’s refusal to accept the apology of principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Alam Megah in Shah Alam for telling students to return to their ancestral lands(balik India, balik Cina) and that she should be charged with sedition will not be taken seriously at all by Malaysians, expecially UMNO. Making such a suggestion when everyone knows you do not mean it is akin to making no suggestion at all.
There is a dispute whether the principal did call Malay students to “balik Indonesia” as this was not heard by the non-Malay students. But even if we give her the benefit of the doubt, telling students to go back to Indonesia does not justify call other students to go back to India or China. Three wrongs do not make a right.
This is not the first time that such racist and extremists words have been used by a school principal against non-Malay students. The failure by the Education Ministry to act against these racist principals in the past has only permitted such an unhealthy practice to continue. Where is the 1Malaysia spirit in schools or why should non-Malay parents be blamed for refusing to send their children to government secondary schools when there are still racist educators.
