MCA leaders should apologise to me for twisting the meaning, purpose and contents of my video

Yesterday, MCA deputy president Datuk Wee Ka Siong advised me to apologise over my “One-derful Malaysia” CNY video clip for the good of Malaysians.

According to the news report published in Bernama, he said I should be more sensitive and mature in airing messages to the public as espoused in Chinese culture. He further said “We do not want people to regard Chinese culture curses and ridicules others during the CNY festival.”

It is most irresponsible for MCA leaders to dance to the music of Umno leaders and some extremists by continuing to twist the meaning, purpose and contents of my video.

The false allegations made against me by MCA leaders include: –

  1. MCA Wanita chief Heng Seai Kie who accused me of tarnishing the image of the nation’s leaders and even questioned my patriotism
  2. MCA Alor Gajah MP Koh Nai Kwong who accused me of mocking the Lahad Datu incident and our security forces
  3. A Selangor MCA leader accused me of raising sensitive issues

Yesterday Wee talked about “curses others”. I demand Wee to show which part of my video “curses others” ?

I have said that my video did not touch on race, religion, Royalty, Lahad Datu incident or our security forces. I will only apologise if anyone can show that my video is anti Malay or anti Islam as alleged by some irresponsible people.

I have right from the beginning stated that my video is a political satire produced in conjunction with Chinese New Year (CNY). It is a special CNY video where the contents comprised talking issues in people’s daily conversation.

The contents not only show how the public have been mocking government policy failures and incompetency, they also reflect public sentiment.

If MCA leaders cannot accept the existence of political satire in our democracy or cannot tolerate government policy failures being mocked, there is no justification to twist the meaning, purpose and contents of my video.

At a time when right thinking Malaysians are condemning the criminal intimidation made by the self styled “ Council of Islamic NGOs” against me by offering cash reward to anyone who dared to slap me, MCA leaders have chosen to focus their attack on me but treat the criminal intimidation issue lightly.

Instead of condemning the threat made against me, Heng Seai Kie merely said she objected to the threat and even asked why a chicken should be sacrificed when I was the only person who had committed wrong.

Wee Ka Siong was rambling as to how my video has spoilt the CNY mood when he ought to have condemned outright the threat madness.

MCA leaders should be totally ashamed of themselves. They should apologise to me for twisting the meaning, purpose and contents of my video.
