UMNO President Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak can only prove that UMNO is not a racist party when UMNO wipes out corruption, opens its membership to all races, adopts the 1 Malaysia slogan and stop the campaign of hatred and fear against non-Malays. Datuk Seri Najib has blamed BN’s failure to win more seats and a 2/3 majority in the 2013 General Elections on DAP’s racist policies.
Can Najib show proof what are the DAP policies that are racist? I doubt that Najib can show any proof when DAP upholds the Federal Constitution on the queston of:-

Islam as the religion of the Federation whilst other religions have freedom to practice their faith,

Bahasa Malaysia as the official language whilst other mother-tongue languages can be used and promoted, and
-
safeguarding the special position of Malays and bumis whilst protecting the legitimate interests of other races in Malaysia under Article 153 of the Federal Constitution.
Najib’s attack on DAP as racist is to hide BN’s failure to wipe out corruption, cronyism and abuse of power as the primary causes as well as to mask the fact that UMNO is now the most racist party in the world. Even the African National Party that advocated apartheid against the majority blacks in South Africa has been disbanded. And yet UMNO continues to proudly articulate racial dominance and that racial dominance justifies UMNO and its non-Malay allies in BN to be corrupt and reject open competitive tenders.
Unlike UMNO, DAP is open to all Malaysians regardless of race, religion and gender. DAP is proud to have not only Malays, Indians and Chinese wakil rakyats but also a Kadazan wakil rakyat from Sabah. Can UMNO boast such a multi-racial representation like the DAP?
Unlike UMNO, DAP fights against corruption and for the rights of all Malaysians. Unlike UMNO, DAP campaigns on ideas, ideals, principles and people-centric policies. How can UMNO be moderate when it preaches fear, hatred and lies? Malaysians are not stupid to believe that UMNO is moderate and clean when its 56 year record in government is full of corruption and abuse of power.
Now, UMNO has no more moderate leaders when its Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz made the astonishing lie that the Chinese voters were misled that the special privileges enjoyed by the Malays and bumiputera as well as Islam as the official religion would be abolished if PR won. Neither DAP, PAS nor PKR had advocated abolishing the special position of Malays or Islam. No mention of this is made in the PR General Election manifesto.
This dangerous lie by Mohamed Nazri to provoke racial tensions, by an UMNO leader seen as different because he was anti-Perkasa, shows that there are now no more moderate UMNO leaders. If Nazri can not show proof, he should withdraw his wild allegations. BN and the police must be held responsible to ensure that there are no untoward incidents by some irresponsible elements to take advantage of the 44th May 13th anniversary tomorrow.
BN Forced To Accept That PR Won In Selangor, Penang and Kelantan When PR Won The Popular Vote.
Najib still refuses to answer why PR won 51% of the popular vote and yet it is BN that won Federal government power. Instead Najib chose to attack PR’s refusal to fully accept the national parliamentary results of the 13th general election (GE13) as the greatest hypocrisy because PR had accepted the results in states of Selangor, Kelantan and Penang won by PR.
Najib misses the point that in all these 3 states, PR won not only the majority of the seats but a majority of the popular vote. PR fought a clean campaign and there were no complaints of cheating against PR. In Kelantan PR won 54%, in Selangor 59% and in Penang 68% of the popular vote. That is the reason why BN was forced to accept that PR won in those 3 states. In contrast, BN won only 47% of the popular vote and yet won 60% of the Parliamentary seats.
Najib must stop blaming the Chinese or the DAP for BN’s failure to win a majority of the popular vote. Instead he must recognise the new paradigm shift of this general elections – that the people are sick and tired of race-based and extremist politics. Instead all Malaysians especially the urban areas have shown a clear preference for people-centric policies that makes a difference to the lives of ordinary Malaysians, decided on needs based and merit.
BN must acknowledge that the power of the people is more powerful than those people in power!
