I deeply regret to read that RTM has suspended the airing of the popular chinese sitcom “88 Kopitiam” (sitcom)programme as RTM suspects one of the actors in the sitcom is involved in the “One-derful Malaysia” video clip.
I have checked with the actors and the actress concerned in my “One-derful Malaysia” video clip and found that none of them acted in the sitcom.
I would urge RTM to lift the suspension of the said sitcom immediately and stop this desperate witch-hunt and recriminations against the artists in RTM sitcom or in the entertainment industry.
RTM should be a broadcasting body that is above politics, like BBC in the UK or ABC in Australia. Only then can it regain its credibility and support from Malaysian public.
RTM must respect the freedom and professionalism of artists to perform in any shows, programmes and any platform as they wish, in line with their career and professional aspirations.
