Open Invitation to Wee Ka Siong to join the Finance and Economy Parliamentary Select Committee on the briefing of EPF’s MAHB share transaction next Monday. Wee Ka Siong’s Emperor’s new clothes is a metaphor which describes the RM500 Million EPF scandal created by Wee Ka Siong that doesn’t exist.

MCA President Wee Ka Siong launched an open tirade against me last night, accusing me of joking about rulers or ancient Chinese Emperor’s by calling him “Emperor Wee”. He even suggested me to go to Tanjung Rambutan Mental Hospital next to my constituency for a check up.

It seems that I have overestimate Wee Ka Siong’s IQ and intelligence. When I use the term Wee Ka Siong’s Emperor’s new clothes it was clear that I was using it as a metaphor to describe the RM500 Million EPF scandal created by Wee Ka Siong that doesn’t exist. Any layman on the street would have understood this metaphor but not Wee Ka Siong who thinks that I regarded him as the real “Emperor Wee”.

I urge Wee Ka Siong not to run away and divert from the main issue of the debate – whether EPF made a RM500 Million financial losses in MAHB share transaction. It seem to me that Wee Ka Siong is trying to divert the attention by unnecessarily attacking me – a MCA specialty, “Siam” (Hokkien word meaning run away).

Next Monday (17th Feb) at 11am, the Finance and Economy Parliamentary Select Committee which I am a member will hold a briefing on EPF’s MAHB share transaction at Bilik Jawatankuasa 2, Parliament. EPF and MAHB officers are invited in the briefing to brief PSC on the share sale and privatisation of MAHB. I was told that Finance and Economy PSC has extended a formal invitation to Wee Ka Siong to join the meeting.

As this briefing is held during parliament sitting I hope Wee Ka Siong would not use some lame excuse like charing MCA Central Committee meeting to avoid attending this PSC briefing. If Wee Ka Siong insist that EPF suffered RM500 Million financial losses in MAHB shares trading this will be the golden opportunity for him to prove his point and to grill EPF officers who according to him made a “stupid” investment decision which cost EPF contributors RM500 Million losses.

I look forward to a healthy and civilised debate with Wee Ka Siong next Monday.
