It is unbelievable how some people have twisted the contents of my satirical video titled Onederful Malaysia produced in conjunction with 2014 Chinese New Year—the Year of the Horse.
It is just madness that the video’s Chinese title ”马来犀利啊“（Ma lai sai leh ah） which means “Horse comes in a great way” could be so maliciously distorted to mean “Melayu sial” or “Melayu mati”.
I believe that there are three particular categories of people who have attacked me over my video:-
– firstly, those who were misled and had jumped to conclusion without watching the video themselves
-secondly, those who refused to watch the video and purposely distorted and twisted the video‘s contents for their own agenda
– thirdly, those who had watched the video but still refused to accept the fact that my video is not anti Malay, anti Islam or anti Royalty.
On Feb 27, my office has received a protest memorandum from Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) Negeri Selangor. They have not only made baseless allegations against me but have also asked me to publicly apologise to the nation’s top leaders, families of victims of the Lahad Datu incident and the entire Malaysian people.
JMM threatened that if I fail to do so within 10 days, they will not hesitate to bring a” battalion” to protest at my office.
I reiterate that I will not apologise for my video because I did not touch on race, religion the Royalty, Lahad Datu incident or our security forces.
In fact, Cabinet Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal and MCA Alor Gajah MP Datuk Koh Nai Kwong have gone silent after they found that they had falsely accused me of mocking the Lahad Datu incident and the security forces.
I will not be cowed by any threat. I have faith the nation’s moderates are solidly behind me.
I had last week added Malay subtitles to my video and I once again invite those who wish to make comments about my video to watch the video first. I also invite those who have attacked me to watch the video with an open mind. They should not be afraid of the truth.
If they choose to watch the video, they will see the truth – that my satirical video did not touch on race, religion, the Royalty, Lahad Datu incident or our security forces as alleged by some quarters.
On Feb 28, my staff Lan Suet Ling has lodged a police report at Seri Petaling police station over the threat made by JMM.
I hope the Police will carry out an immediate probe into JMM’s threat against me.
