Razali Ibrahim is king of twister and should stop whitewashing Hishamuddin Hashim

In his speech in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Razali Ibrahim has totally ignored the fact that Hishamuddin Hashim was not an ethical leader.

While it is true that the Court of Appeal has not established any person of criminal or civil liability, the wrongdoings of Hishamuddin Hashim as noted in the RCI proceedings were crystal clear.

Not only Hishamuddin Hashim was described as a arrogant leader (being arrogant is of course not a crime), but he was caught lying, and has instructed his subordinates to lie for him.

Hishamuddin had lied in the RCI proceedings when he claimed ignorance of police reports against his officers, which accused them of physical abuse.

He has also ordered MACC Asst. Superintendent Azeem Hafeez Jamaluddin to testify that Hairul Ilham had led the probe so as to cover up his role in the investigation against Selangor executive councillor, Ean Yong Hian Wah.

Not to mention that the RCI report clearly pointed out Hishammuddin Hashim was guilty of excessive use of violence on Beng Hock.

So what expertise was Razali looking at when he said Hishamuddin Hashim deserved his promotion? Was it his ability to lie? To cover up his misdeed? Or his violent tendency?

Court of Appeal was not in the position to establish the criminal liability of anyone. But what happened in the RCI proceeding clearly indicates that Hishamuddin Hashim is not an honest, trustworthy and righteous leader. It is scary to know that all these virtues are not deemed important by our Government when they consider a promotion. Perhaps that also explain dishonesty and unscrupulousness are they “virtue” that they are looking for.
