Throughout the two-week campaign, voters in Tanjung Aru have sent a clear and consistent message. They want continuity in development, a secure future, and a Sabah that is stable and prosperous.
Their message is straightforward: political stability is the foundation for progress, and progress is a responsibility we owe to future generations. This sentiment has shaped the entire campaign in Tanjung Aru – a call for a government that is well-ordered, predictable, and grounded in the needs of the people.
With my experience as a Federal Deputy Minister and Member of Parliament, I am committed to delivering more organised development and better welfare for the people – especially after hearing concerns that previous elected representative have fallen short in providing proper services.
But in today’s political landscape, no single party can form the Sabah government on its own. That is why close cooperation between the incoming Sabah government and the Federal MADANI Government is absolutely critical. Only through strong federal-state collaboration can we secure consistent development and uplift the well-being of all Sabahans.
This reality has been evident throughout the campaign, as I received solid support from both national and Sabah leaders. Their presence is more than just political endorsement – it reflects their confidence that Tanjung Aru will play a decisive role in shaping Sabah’s future.
From Pakatan Harapan (HARAPAN), the Prime Minister and HARAPAN Chairman, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim; Amanah President, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu; and DAP Secretary-General, Anthony Loke, all came forward with unwavering support.
From Barisan Nasional, BN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir and UMNO Vice-President Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani also joined us on the ground, strengthening our collective resolve.
From GRS, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, its Deputy Secretary-General, campaigned alongside us, reinforcing the message that we are building more than just inter-party cooperation, we are unifying the aspirations of Sabahans toward a shared future.
The three-way collaboration among PH, BN, and PGRS is now the cornerstone of the Tanjung Aru campaign. The spirit of “Grand Unity” is no longer just a slogan; it has become an organised, disciplined and effective force.
In the 17th Sabah state election, this formula has proven itself: 1 + 1 + 1 is not merely three but it represents a much stronger force when the voters unite under one banner of stability.
Saturday’s election results are expected to show that no single party will be able to form the government without coalition partners. I am confident Tanjung Aru has shown the way forward to building a stable, inclusive, and prosperous Sabah.
This is the turning point that can usher and era of sustainable prosperity.
This time, we Kasi Chan (give the chance to Chan), to bring development and protect the people’s welfare. Sabah Pasti ada HARAPAN!
