Spread message of peace

I strongly condemn the attempts to turn the Low Yat Plaza ruckus incident into a racial issue.

I slam any racial intimidation through violence and misinformation. Any attempts to racialise the issue by fanning racial sentiments should stop at all cost.

We should go beyond looking at issues from a racial perspective. This is just a consumer dispute issue but now it seems like manipulated into a racial issue by irresponsible quarters. It’s about law, not a particular single race being bullied others.

I urge the social media users not to add salt to the incident with racial hatred. Instead, I call upon all loving and right minded Malaysians to join in the action to post multiracial photographs and include the hashtags #WeAreFamily and #Muhibbah, and tag five other friends to spread the message of peace.

The fundamental issue of Malaysian is inequality of income and opportunity, not among the races, but between rich and poor, haves and have-nots, cronies and ordinary people. We should not allow racism getting place in our political discourse.
