Sabah state government, as the body entrusted by the people to look after their welfare, should step in to control the quantum of additional deposit collected by SESB.
I strongly object the imposition of additional deposit by SESB, the state power company, given the economical downturn experienced by the country now.
What’s the mechanism to calculate the additional deposit which is to be paid extra to SESB? Why isn’t any public notice before such a move? Does state government aware with the collection?
It’s an extra burden to general public, who need to work hard to earn a decent living. It’s not easy to make money now. It’s expected more shops to be closed down after Chinese New Year next year. It just not the right timing to impose any additional deposit for the power consumption by people.
Furthermore, I also question what’s the planning and the execution by SESB to address the negative power reserves for the East Coast.
We only heard about construction of new anchor power plant again and again through the years but nothing happen until now. I’m glad to hear that our Chief Minister has announced recently a 300MW natural gas power plant to be built in Sandakan, and only God knows when would it be completed.
I urge state government to step in to address the SESB additional deposit issue. If BN really care for the people, please show us your sincerity to help them.
