- The Selangor State Government through the Special Committee for Improvements of Care Services (JKPPP) in collaboration with Hayat Technologies Sdn Bhd hereby announces the Implementation of a Survey for Care Centres and Nursery Operators in order to obtain feedback from care center operators in Selangor.
- On 21 April 2025, this survey has been sent to emails of care centres and nursery operators, covering care centers for the elderly, persons with disabilities (OKU), and nurseries. The closing date for responses is 17 May 2025. This survey form can be accessed via this website: https://tinyurl.com/surveypusatjagaan and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
- This survey is not only for care centres and nurseries, but also for operators who have yet to register their premises with government agencies.
- The purpose of the revision of the daycare and nursery guidelines is as follows:-
- To meet the challenge of increasing demand for care services given population growth through migration into Selangor and increase in life expectancy with improvements in medical technology;
- To increase the number of registered care centres so as to ensure that operators receive adequate training and guidance from government agencies, thereby ensuring the safety of vulnerable groups and to reduce cases of neglect or abuse;
- To create business-friendly guidelines, without compromising safety;
- To map the care economy landscape in Selangor, so that subsidies and assistance can are more targeted in order that we prosper together.
- However, we are aware that there are several challenges faced by care centres and nursery operators in complying with the procedures and guidelines presently set by government.
- Therefore, this Survey for Care Centres and Nursery Operators is very important as its findings will be analysed and taken into account in the process of amending the guidelines for care centres and nurseries by the State Government, which will be finalised this year. The views of nursery and care centre operators as one of the main stakeholders in the care industry is very valuable in helping us to formulate better policies and procedures.
- The feedback collected will be used for research only and will not be used for enforcement purposes. The State Government is aware that we need to hear from operators who have not registered their centres with the government in order to identify the challenges and obstacles faced.
- To date, a total of 87 operators have completed the survey. The Government will provide those who provide feedback with access to the results of the study and a free coupon to the Selangor International Care Summit 2025.
- These efforts are in line with the Selangor State Government’s efforts under Objective 2.1 of The Selangor Care Economic Policy (DEPNS), which is to streamline the governance and quality monitoring of day care centres.
