Tabuan Jaya Health Clinic at Jalan Setia Raja is on track to begin operations soon

The new Tabuan Jaya Health Clinic at Jalan Setia Raja is on track to begin operations soon, with construction scheduled to be completed by 16 September 2025 based on the answer received from the Health Minister in Parliament.

This is a project that I have consistently pushed for on since i was elected on behalf of the people in Kuching, and I am pleased to see that it is finally taking shape after it all these years. Once completed, the clinic will provide much-needed healthcare services to the residents in and around the Tabuan neighbourhood, as well as nearby area.

The clinic will be equipped with a wide range of essential services, including a pharmacy unit, outpatient and emergency treatment, diagnosing imaging, oral health and rehabilitation units, maternal and child healthcare units, pathology units, and many others. It is also designed to include public and staff amenities to better ensure the welfare of both patients and healthcare workers at the clinic.

Not only will this bring better access to healthcare for the growing population in the area, it may also help to decongest overcrowded clinics such as the Tanah Puteh Health Clinic, Kota Sentosa Health Clinic, and other clinics that have long been overstretched with high patient volume.

I firmly believe that healthcare is a basic right, and I will continue to push for timely completion and ensure that this project benefits the people as intended. I will also be following up closely with the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to ensure that the progress of this clinic will be sailing smoothly, and that it will be fully equipped and staffed by the time it operates.

I remain committed to fighting for accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for all residents in Bandar Kuching and beyond.
