The DAP has created a new, healthy politics in the Teluk Intan by-election, and despite the fact that we were unable to make it yesterday, we shall continue our struggle to bring BN-UMNO racial politics to an end.
DAP has stated from day 1 that the battle of Teluk Intan is never an easy battle. We have nominated the first Malay lady candidate in a parliamentary seat, with a view to break UMNO’s racial politics and for the betterment of the nation. DAP would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the support we received from 19919 voters.
In the last 2 weeks, all in DAP and the supporters have restlessly participated in the campaign. I would like to thank the Central Executive Committee, members of the Perak State Committee, all MPSAs, the parliamentary liaison committee, all the branches of the party, leaders and members at all levels, that have helped in making the campaign a successful one. Teamwork is the key in this campaign and we have demonstrated it well.
The DAP would like to thank the supporters that have given their support and resources to the party during the campaign. We will continue our struggle and we will again lead the people to achieve the UBAH dream in PRU14. Lets start it again in Teluk Intan.
