There cannot be any compromise when it comes to the safety of our children to not only protect them from the harm of abduction, but also from possible sexual predators like the alleged culprit who admitted he was a sex maniac.
I read in horror the account of the incidents by the family in their post and no parent should need to go through such a traumatising event. We should be able to live in a society that is safe for our children to play in our background and even with our neighbours without the fear of such a threat to our innocent children.
That is the Kuching that we grew up in and we all must play our part to protect it for the good of all families living here in Kuching.
I extend my deepest gratitude to the police and all authorities and also members of the public for their swift action in apprehending the suspect.
We must all remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities, and i urge for this case not to be taken lightly and the full force of law must be applied upon him upon proven guilty of his crime.
