This year’s last batch of 55 beneficiary students from P195 Bandar Kuching received their Tertiary Education Assistance Fund this afternoon

Today, I’m handing over this year’s third batch of the Tertiary Education Assistance Fund to 55 beneficiary students for P195 Bandar Kuching.

This year alone, my office has distributed a total of 128 Tertiary Education Assistant Funds compared with last year’s 117 to eligible beneficiary students under my constituency. They each received RM1,500.

Since I was elected as a member of parliament, education has always been an area of development that I have emphasized, and most of the allocations under my constituency have been used for education.

In addition to allocating funds to schools to upgrade facilities, I am also concerned about the burden of further education for students from needy families, so my office has established this Tertiary Education Assistance Fund.

We hope that this small amount of funds can help reduce the financial burden on the families of the student’s parents, especially now that inflation and student continuing their further study to uni/college is a huge expense for many families.

This Tertiary Education Assistance Fund is allocated once a year, and students who come from the P195 Bandar Kuching can apply annually. However, the allocation of this education fund still depends on the government’s allocation to the annual allocation of MPs. We will continue this initiative as long as government allocation is available.

I hope that the recipients can make good use of this education fund, strive for excellence in their studies, live up to the expectations of their parents make contributions to society, and also become pillars of the country after they have completed their studies.
