I am glad that after my complain about the backlog of document pending registration at the Kuching Land Registry Office on 30-6-2017, the Superintendent of the Kuching Land Office has taken immediate steps to resolve the problem.
Within two days from my complaint, all the backlog were cleared and there was no more backlog of document pending registration at the Kuching Land Registry Office.
I have thus written a letter of appreciation and gratitude to the Superintendent for his quick and positive response and that of his colleagues at the registry office.
In the last few days, the public feedback on registration of document at the Kuching Land Registry Office was encouraging and there is no more backlog at the Registry Office.
This is exemplary of government servants who do not take criticism with a negative and denial attitude but work on the criticism to improve oneself and win back the satisfaction and confidence of the public.
As for the racial imbalance problem resulting in the severe shortage of staff during Hari Raya celebration, this is due to the unfair employment policy of the State BN Government which is not within the jurisdiction of the Kuching Land Registry Office.
In that respect, I will raise the issue at the proper forum, eg. the DUN sitting.
Such racial imbalance in the government sector is not only detrimental to the racial harmony in Sarawak but will also put some Malay officers in a disadvantaged position when some of them may be refused leave for the Hari Raya celebration because of severe shortage of the non-Malay staff to take-over their responsibility while they are on leave.
I urge the Government this problem can be rectified by the State Government soonest possible.
